Highway Robbery with Violence.

On Saturday, James Gordon. Denaby was charged at Doncaster West Riding Court with committing highway robbery with violence at Conisborough, on May 1.

The complainant, Joseph Ackroyd, was in Marr Street when the prisoner and other men came up and after speaking to him knocked him down, and whilst he was on the ground they rifled his pockets and took 18s. and tried steal his watch.

The case had been remanded to enable the police to secure the other men, but they have left the district.

Prisoner was committed for trial at the Assizes.
