Mr. A. J. Farmer (Denaby) and Miss L. Hingley (Denaby).

At Denaby Parish Church on Monday, the marriage was solemnised of Miss Lilian Hingley, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hingley, of 138, Doncaster Road. Denaby, and Mr. Alexander J. Farmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Farmer, of 92, Balby Street. Denaby.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory embossed crepe satin cut on classical lines, and a veil embroidered with silk lovers’ knots held by a wreath of orange blossom and pearls. She carried red roses and white heather and was attended by Miss Joan Sapey in a lavender satin dress with a shoulder veil and a matching coronet, and Miss Phyllis Breeze in a pink satin gown with a shoulder veil and coronet to tone.

The maids carried pink carnations and received gold crosses and chains from the bridegroom. Mr. Joseph Farmer was best man. Among the wedding gifts was a cheque from the bride’s former emloyers, Mr. and Mrs. G. Whitehead, of Brooklands. Cheshire.

On leaving the church the bride received a silver horseshoe from Master H. Sapey. The bride travelled to Southport where the honeymoon is being spent in a grey two-piece with black accessories.
