Home Guard

About 200 members of the Conisborough and Denaby Companies of the Home Guard, under their Commanders, Major Philip Brocklesby and Major N. Hulley, paraded at the Globe Cinema, Conisborough, last Sunday afternoon to witness a programme of training films on the drilling of platoons, the observation and recording of messages and the recognition of enemy troops.

The Battalion Commander Lieut-Col. J. B. Keates, M. C. together with his Deputy, Major T. Frost and the Assistant Battalion Commander, Major J. R. Middleton Walker, were also present.
