Honour for Medical Officer

June 1932

Mexborough & Swinton Times – Friday 10 June 1932

Congratulations to Dr. J. J. Huey, our medical officer, on the distinguished honour of appointment as Assistant Commissioner of the No.5 District of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

The district is the largest within the organisation, covering the greater part of five counties, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and Staffordshire.

Dr. Huey has given sterling service to the movement for many years, principally as an officer of the Denaby Main Corps and more recently as County Surgeon. He succeeds the late Mr. Harry Mousy as Assistant Commissioner, and is the fourth Denaby officer in succession to hold the position, the others being Mr. M. C. Harrison and the late Mr. W.H. Chambers.
