Horse Drowned

An unfortunate event occurred at a place known as the “Willow Garth,” on Tuesday, about noon, when a valuable young horse, owned by Mr C Kilner was drowned.

It appears that the number of animals were grazing in a field, and had evidently gone in search of water to drink, one, getting on the ice, was immersed, and drowned before help was obtained.
