Horticultural and Cottage Gardeners Association.
On Monday evening last meeting was held in the Church This Schoolroom in Connection with the above Society.
Edward Greaves, Esq of Dale View, was called to the Chair. It was resolved to hold the show on 1 august, on the same ground as last year. The names of subscribers for the past year was read over, showing that the colliery subscriptions amounted to upwards of four pounds.
The chairman gave hopes of a far more successful result been attained this year, as there would be every facility for thorough organisation.
The meeting was adjourned until that day month, when the society will proceed to appoint a committee of management.
A vote of thanks was unanimously accorded to the chairman for presiding, and for his strenuous efforts to make the society, a success.
