House Pillaged

When three Denaby boys were accused at Doncaster West Riding Juvenile Court on Wednesday with stealing a quantity of wooden fencing and a door from a house, the property of the L. N. E. Railway, it was alleged that a great deal of damage had been committed that the house.

Detective Inspector Glavey, of the railway company, said,

“As soon as the occupants left the house was raided by youths from the district. Nearly every piece of wood in the house was taken away and the house was left the back. Apart from the wood inside the house been taken away part of the wooden railings were removed. The damage is valued at £40 and has been no great that the house was placed under police observation.”

The parents of the boys were ordered to pay costs.

The meat Inspector reports that during February 330 animals were slaughtered for food and eight pigs were killed on private premises.

He reports that the humane killer is using every case for beasts and pigs, but for sheep the butchers prefer the old method.
