Houses Tendered
I notice that tenders for the erection of the 30 houses, to which numbers the Ministry cut down our original housing schemes, are being invited to the medium of the advertisement columns of this paper.
It would be premature for us to feel certain even now, that these 30 houses will be erected, for he must remember that we had got further on this stage before, only to be pulled up short by the housing minister; and it is quite possible that what happened before me happen again, though one else very sincerely that it won’t.
The way our scheme has been treated in London is apt to sap the confidence of the most optimistic.
