Ill-Treatment of Ponies

At Rotherham yesterday two pony drivers, John Dunhill and Patrick Manion, were summoned for having cruelly ill-treated their ponies in the Denaby Main pit.

Dunhill was sent to prison for a month with hard labour, and a fine of 20s. and costs was imposed in the case of Manion.
