Improvement in Roads

August 1920

Mexborough & Swinton Times – Saturday 07 August 1920

A very considerable improvement has of late been effected in the roads of Conisboro’.

A long stretch in Station Road has been laid with tar macadam, and more recently, a good in Church Street has received attention.

The village roads are really better at time than the Sheffield and Doncaster Road, for in parts the heavy motor traffic is pulling out holes which are by no means pleasant to the occupants of light cars.

The road traffic during the week-end has been very much In advance of previous years and motoring to the sea-side is quite a favourite way of getting rid of surplus cash.
