In Albert Hall Choir
Conisbrough and Swinton Voices
Among 800 voices from all over the United Kingdom, which were heard in the Albert Hall, London last night were those of 12 members of Swinton and Conisbrough Parish Churches.
They were taking part in the triennial Festival of the Royal School of Church Music.
From Swinton, Mr W Sables, Mr D Parker, Peter Ferns, Alan Foss, Eric Archer, Martin Jones and Grendel Joyns took part
and from Conisbrough were Mr. J. W. I Latham, Mr. Roy Rich, Miss Olive Sleeford, Graham Peck, Christopher Thornton and John Appleyard who are members of their respective curch choirs.
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother attended the service.
