A view of the massive Torquilstone Castle, taken from the surrounding woodlands on the lot of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer British Studios.
The castle was built for the technicolour production “Ivanhoe,” an adaption of the Sir Walter Scott novel. Pandro S. Berman is producer and Richard Thorpe the director of the film, which has a cast of thousands and stars Robert Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine and George Sanders.
