Denaby United 2 Bolsover 2

Denaby missed their chance to go get above the Sheffield Association league leaders, Bolsover, when they paid a visit to Tickhill Square on Saturday.

Denaby had the favourable advantage of playing at home, and Bolsover were at a disadvantage because they were without Thompson,, yet Denaby only managed to make a 2-2 draw. Ardron was not on form and valuable chances were overlooked.

Had Denaby taken all the chances that came their way, victory would have been theirs. Denaby were without Goldsmith and Shephard deputised at right back. Cocker and Gibbs, Denaby left-wing pair, played well, but Ardron had an off day.

Bolsover were without their services of Thompson, their goalscoring centre forward. Denaby goals were scored by Ardron and Shelton.
