Inquest at Denaby
Yesterday, an inquest was held at the Reresby arms, Denaby main, before Mr Wightman, touching the death of a man named Griffiths, who was in the employ of the Denaby colliery company.
Deceased, was about 49 years of age, was employed in fitting tubes on the Pit hill.
He left his work to go home about 2.30 a.m. on Thursday morning,and must have taken a wrong turn to the left, and have fallen a distance of about 16 feet.
His dead body was found 5.15 a.m. by one of the workmen.
A verdict was returned to the effect that deceased was accidentally killed.
