In an exciting match at South Kirkby, Denaby and Cadeby were beaten by nine runs.
South Kirkby had 86 on the board when the third wicket fell, but they collapsed against the bowling of E. Wathey (4 for 14) and W. Holland (4 for 16) and totalled only 110, of which Hobson contributed 51, including seven 4´s.
South Kirkby saw the first six Denaby wickets fall for 53, but J. Robinson (18) and W. Holland (18) made the issue exciting. J. Wright also hit 17. For south Kirkby, A. J. Watson took 4 for 26.
