Denaby Lose one Wicket in Defeat of Brodsworth

Denaby 74 for 1 Brodsworth 73

“Ted” Wathey continues to do good work with the ball for Denaby, and again on Saturday he was among the wickets.

Against Brodsworth he took 5 for 11, and was ably backed by Pegg (3 for 18) and Porter (2 for 24). Brodsworth scored 73 (Towns 15, Howard 13, Bailey 26 and Lilley 10).

After Denaby had lost Burkinshaw before he had scored, Greenwood and Wright stayed together to get the necessary runs without losing their wickets.

Greenwood scored 49 not out and Wright was 29 not out. Hanson took the only wicket that fell at a cost of 29 runs.
