Rockingham Out for 16!

Denaby 17 for 0 Rockingham 16

One is given to understand that on Denaby´s ground this is the first time any game there has been completed in 70 minutes (including the interval!). Those regular spectators who usually drop in about tea time missed the procession.

Rockingham innings lasted just over 45 minutes and during that time only 10.5 overs were sent down, 3 being maidens

The honours of the day went to Charlie Pegg, who, with his swingers, had six for five (four in his first three overs), four being caught in the slips. George Porter also had his share in the dismissal taking four for nine, and having a hand in two of Peggs wickets. Porter took his four after eight runs had been scored of him.

The only Rockingham batsman to offer any resistance was W. S. Gray, who had a long stay for two.

Pegg and Porter opened the Denaby innings and in less than three overs they knocked up 17. Pegg had a six and a four in his first over.
