Bad Fielding cost Denaby Full points.
Denaby & Cadeby 187 for 3 International Harvesters 143 for 8
Denaby and Cadeby let victory over International Harvesters literally slip through their fingers at Tickhill Square on Saturday.
With Arthur Ellis scoring 49, Malcolm Walker, 59, N Oakley 36 not out and Tony Hough 37, Denaby had made 187 in 150 min with the allotted 46 overs completed.
But with Harvesters on the run the home side dropped no less than seven catches to let the reeling visitors off with 143 for 8.
In superb form are R. Lawley took five for 24 in 13 overs, seven on the maiden, but saw his colleagues drop four catches off his bowling. Pearson, Law and Cory took the other three wickets.
It would seem that before they stand a chance of repeating their last season’s performance, Denaby, was put in some serious fielding practice.
