Single Wicket Match.
This match was played at Denaby on Saturday last, between the Denaby Juveniles versus Mexborough Juveniles, and resulted in a victory for the home players.
The match consisted of three Mexborough juveniles against two Denaby juveniles. Although this match. being a juvenile arrangement, great interest was manifested in the game.
The match, however, look rather one-sided, as two players against three is long odds, but nevertheless, the two players seem to be too good for them. The batting of F Hopson was particularly fine, and is worthy of record. Below are the scores:
