Interesting Struggle Between Conisborough Clubs

The final of the cup presented by Major Kelley, M.P. for Rotherham, was contested on Saturday on the ground of the Denaby club.

The opposing teams were Conisborough Castle and Conisborough Lawn Tennis.

Much interest was shown in the match, the tie taking on the nature of a local Derby. Some good bowling was seen and the keenness was obvious.

The Castle club, however, registered eight winners, and eventually won rather comfortably, the final scores being Castle 196, Lawn Tennis 152.
