Kiosk Damaged.

A telephone kiosk in Doncaster Road, Conisbrough, was extensively damaged when an attempt was made to force open the coin box, alleged Inspector J. Barber at Doncaster West Riding Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Hugh McCormick (18), miner no fixed address, was remanded in custody until today on charges of attempting to steal from the coin box and stealing an iron bar.

Inspector Barber said McCormick was seen by police at The Mount Hospital, Rotherham, and , it was alleged, admitted the offences, but further police inquiries had yet to be made.
