Lamp Offence

Samuel Millard, of Denaby, pony driver, was charged with having on March 4th used a lamp in Denaby pit before it had been examined and found to be safe and securely locked by a competent person employed for the purpose.

He had carelessly gone past the cabin with his lamp without tendering it for examination.

He was fined 5s. and costs.
