Last evening for German Visitors

For the final evening as guests of members of Tom Hill youth club, Denaby, 17 German visitors gave a concert of traditional folk songs on Monday at a social evening in the youth centre.

The German visitors have been staying with members of the club and have been visiting places of interest in Yorkshire during the past 14 days.

They left Denaby on Tuesday morning to spend their final day in London before returning home to Seigen.

On Thursday the visitors played a football match against a selected team of under 21’s from South Elmsall at Frickley Colliery’s ground. They lost 3-1, but on Saturday they beat a team from Tom Hill club 1-0 at Tickell Square.
