Licensees Leaving.

After 15 years at the Lord Conyers Hotel, Conisbrough, licensees Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Teasdale left yesterday (Thursday).

They are leaving the trade after Mr. Teasdale’s recent chest illness, and are moving to Canterbury.

Succeeding them as manager is former Denaby and Manvers miner Mr. William Turner (46), of 15, Park Gate Avenue, Conanby.

Mr. and Mrs. Teasdale came to Conisbrough 15 years ago, with Mrs. Teasdale’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Probert, who formerly kept the Buxton Arms, Goldthorpe, for many years. Mrs. Teasdale and he husband, a former Goldthorpe Colliery miner, took over five years ago. They will rejoin Mr. and Mrs. Probert in Chartham, near Canterbury, where Mr. Probet is manager of the British Legion Club.

Mr. Teasdale yesterday left Sheffield Middlewood Hospital where he has been a patient for nine weeks with a chest complaint.
