London Visit

Mr. B. Barthorpe, of 17, Tickhill Street, Denaby Main, was in London last week-end for the 36th annual dinner of the Coldstreamers’ Association (London Branch).

Mr. Barthorpe served with the Coldstream Guards during the war. He was accompanied to London by Mr. F. Thomas, secretary of the Doncaster branch.

On Sunday they attended an impressive service at the Royal Military Chapel at Wellington Barracks, and afterwards past and present members of the Regiment marched in procession to the Guards’ Memorial in Horse Guards’ Parade for a wreath laying. Mr. Barthorpe said “It was most impressive.”
