Man Found Drowned at Denaby

On Saturday morning two young men, named Parker and Poole, were out on the River Dearne, near the Denaby Main Colliery, in a small boat, and as they rode along, they discovered floating in the water the body of a man.

They went to obtain assistance, and, on securing it, the body was taken out, and removed to the nearest inn.

The body was much decomposed, and had evidently been in the water some time.
