Conisbrough Castle  0 Parkwood Springs 3

These clubs met on Saturday at Conisbrough in glorious weather. The match was a very agreeable one and a pleasant evening was spent afterwards. The visitors won the toss and kicked uphill. For a little time the game was very even; but ultimately the Parkwoodites worked well together, J.A.Smith and A.Bell went forward in good style, the last named making a nice run and succeeded in getting the ball past the Conisbrough custodian.

A.M.Corbett and A.Wilson now put in some good play for the home team, the first name especially, but were unable to score, owing to the clever back play of James Hansen and Tim Butcher.

J.H.Smith now, madesome clever dribbling, which was duly appreciated by the onlookers; taking the ball past hisopponents beautifully, andat last crossed the ball well in front, when A.Bell was on the lookout, and headed the ball through a second time for Parkwood – a piece of fine play, which was the last score up to half-time.

After ends were changed the visitors had much the best of it, the ball almost continually near the Conisbrough Fortress; but now and again,, Wilson, Corbett and Senior kept getting away with the ball, and the second named looked like scoring one, but J Harson stopped his career just in the nick of time. The visitors were rewarded with a third goal kicked by T Williams, thus ending in an easy victory for the visitors.
