The British coal output for the week ended August 5, amounting to 5,121,000 tons. The Yorkshire output was 867,000 tons.

The Barnburgh Colliery Orchestra will give a concert in the Montagu Hospital grounds this Saturday evening, commencing about 6 o’clock.

Local colliery shares, particularly Maltby Main, Tinsley Park and Denaby and Cadeby preference, were in brisk demand on the Sheffield Stock Exchange this week.

The Swinton Urban Council are holding no meeting assistance, and the Mexborough Urban Council will hold non-next. They cannot even agree to go on holiday together.

The Ministry of transport as discharge the liability of the Mexborough and Swinton Tramway Company to contribute to the local road authorities three eights of a penny car mile for road maintenance in connection with their trackless services from Mexborough to Conisborough and to Manvers Main.
