The Parish Church of Brampton Bierlow will be keeping its jubilee or 50th year of consecration in August next year. To mark the occasion a scheme for improving the church, building an organ chamber and providing an organ, has been drawn up by Mr. C. Hodgson Fowler, of Durham, and adopted by the committee. The total estimated cost is £1,000, towards which the parishioners have raised nearly £500, in addition to which Mr. A. Carnegie has promised £190, half the cost of the organ.
