Matrimonial Troubles at Conisborough

Patrick Fleming, collier, new Conisborough was charged with an assault on Mary Fleming at Conisborough on August 17, and further with persistent cruelty towards the complainant.

Mr Badley appeared for the defendant and said that the case before the court a month ago but the defendant was ordered to pay the costs. He was unable to do so and was committed to prison.

He added that since the parties were last before the court the owners of the furniture had taken it and there was now no home for them to go to.

Complainant said she was willing to go back to her husband when he got a home, and the case was accordingly withdrawn.
