At Hickleton the visitors batted first and Denaby had three wickets down for 20.

Then Luther Robinson and his brother Walter took the score to 100 when Walter Robinson played a ball had back the bowler, who made a fine catch, jumping up for it. The retiring batsmen, had made 43 by splendid cricket.

The Denaby innings was declared at 125 for five with Luther Robinson not out with 54 to his credit. He was loudly applauded for his fine performance when he reached the Pavilion.

Hickleton, commenced their innings just before six o’clock, and when the stumps were drawn. They were 65 for five. Luther Robinson had taken all the five wickets, with a analysis of five for 17 from 12 overs.
