Daughter for Sailor
Stoker Wilfred McNichol, of 6, Prior Road, Conisborough, is an old sailor having served for 21 years in the Navy, during which time he has had many experiences and visited many countries.
He was on the reserve list and was recalled at the outbreak of war, he is well-known at Denaby and Cadeby Collieries and Yorkshire Main Colliery.
He is now “somewhere on the high seas”, and since he left home his wife has presented him with another little daughter whom he is longing to see.
His brothers James McNichol and Robert McNichol served in the Great War. They are the sons of Mrs. Ryan of 37, Rossington Street, Denaby Main.
