Memorial Gift
Has been Chosen at Denaby
In this month’s Denaby Main Parish Review, the vicar, the Reverend F Herrington, recalls that many months ago he was given a sum of money to buy something for the church in memory of the late Mr. S. Foster.
“I have at last found what I have been looking for,” he writes : “A pair of solid silver candlesticks, about four inches high, to use at the Communion of the sick.
“This supplies a need and would I thought, give a good deal of satisfaction to his people. These candlesticks together with a Roll of Honour, most beautifully done, in memory of the late Mr, Cocker, will be dedicated during a service at the Dedication Feast of this church in September.”
