Mr E Ackerill of “Belvedere,” Church Road, Denaby Main, who served in North Africa and Italy, has receive notification from the War office which reads;

“I have to inform you that you have been awarded “Mention in dispatches” under authority London Gazette.”

Mr Ackerill is well known in the village and his friends will be pleased to learn of the distinction.
