Mexborough Mothers Claim

A Mexborough woman, Mrs Julia Francis Hodgson, living at 106 Wath Rd, Mexborough, applied for compensation in respect of her son, Charles Alfred Hodgson, late of  64 Balby St, Denaby Main, who died as the result of an accident at the Maltby Main colliery.

Mr Adshead Elliott appeared for the applicant and Mr T E Allison for the respondents.

Mr Elliott, following a conference with Mr Ellison, said they had come to a satisfactory settlement subject to his Honour’s approval. He had accepted an offer that applicant should be paid £25 plus the £10 already paid into court.

His Honour agreed and made no order as to costs.
