Mexbro’ Youth’s Offences.

William Drakeley, a Mexbro’ youth, was charged at Doncaster, yesterday, with stealing a singlet, value Is., the property of Charles Brayshaw, fireman in the Denaby Pit.

Prosecutor hung a singlet on the girder, and when he missed it Police-constable Shuker went to prisoner’s house, where he found the article hid in the chimney.

Drakeley was further charged with stealing a pocket knife, the property of Wilfred Newbound, deputy at the Denaby mine. The prosecutor left the knife in the pocket of his vest, which he hung while at work.

Police-constable Shuker also found the knife at prisoner’s house.

Prisoner was fined 20s. in each case, or 20 days.
