Likes Being Cook
Gunner Albert O. Mills, of 142, Doncaster Road, Denaby main, was a territorial at the outbreak of war and was drafted into an anti-aircraft battery.
He is still stationed in England and at the moment is carrying out the duties of cook.
He likes the life and hopes that some day he may reach the rank his father attained in the last war (Sergt. In the Grenadier Guards).
Gunner Mills was employed on the surface at Denaby Colliery and was a member of the Parish Church having at one time been a choir boy and also a member of the Church Lads´ Brigade.
He lived with his grandmother, Mrs Mills, and is a regular reader of the “Times”, He and his pals are very interested in the “soldiers´ gallery” and the home news.
