Mindless Miners

William Isaac Cooper, Denaby, was charged with a breach of Special Rule 90 at Denaby Main by riding on an underground road without the permission of manager or under manager.
Defendant pleaded guilty, and Mr Hickmott prosecuted.

It appeared that defendant had been summoned on 4 March, and not appearing, a warrant was issued.

Owing to reports and complaints, a deputy down the colliery set a watch, and found the defendant and some others riding in a corve. A pony was attached to it, which was galloping.

John guess, deputy said he received instructions to watch the defendant plane. He did so, and found the defendant as described.

Fined 10 shillings and costs.
