Miners and War Wage

Significant Hint by Yorkshire Official.

Addressing a meeting of Denaby and Cadeby miners, held at Conisbro’ yesterday, Mr. Samuel Roebuck, general secretary of the Y.M.A., said that they wanted the rail way men to win.

Whilst the present cost of living continued, anything like it, they, as miners, knew that the slightest hint of any reduction in the war wage would followed by the greatest upheaval the industry had ever experienced.

But there must lie precipitancy. They must organise in a way that the Government, strong as it was, could not break the bock the industrial struggle.
