Children’s Outing
The children of the Parish Church Sunday School, including the Loversall Street Mission, and the St Chad’s Mission, had their annual outing on Monday at Sprotbrough.
The infant children journeyed by traction engines and motor lorries, and the elder ones made the journey on drays, all having been kindly lent for the occasion.
The scholars of the Salvation Army and the chapels came round the streets singing their Whitsuntide hymns, and later provided with tea.
Subsequently games and sports were held.
