Most Ambitious

Next week Conisbrough Northcliffe High School will present the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera ‘The Mikado’ as their third musical production, and their most ambitious programme to date.

The presentation will be on four evenings from Tuesday to Friday ad there will be a special free performance for local junior schools on Monday afternoon. In a cast of forty members, five of the ten principals are members of the staff.

Costumers are being hired and the scenery was designed by Mr. R. Charlton and built by woodwork and art groups under the guidance of Mr. Lockwood, the woodwork teacher.

Tickets for the Friday show are already sold out, and there are very few left for the other performances. Despite high costs, it is hoped that receipts will cover the outlay for the production.
