They had not given much financial assistance to Denaby United football club, but they had also to help the Denaby miners welfare football club, which had tried out and found several players for Denaby United, no less than six regular players having been tried in the Midland league side. It was pleasing to note that the club had paid off all the debts, including loans made to the club at the beginning of last season.
Mr J. W. Darley spoke on the balance sheet, congratulated Mr G. English, and moved that Mr English’s services be placed on the club’s records. This was agreed.
A vote of thanks was recorded to the auditors, Messrs. A. Davis and J. W. Darley.
