The Chairman of the local War Savings Committee, Mr. J. H. Rawding, has received a letter from the officer in command of Motor Torpedo Boat No. 215, the ship which Conisbrough was allotted in its recent Warship Week.
The officer, Sub-Lieut. A. P. Grahame Joy says, “We have been having a fairly arduous time, and we were all particularly delighted to hear that we had been adopted.
Would you please convey my thanks and the thanks of my crew to the people of Conisbrough. We were all extremely impressed by the magnitude of the sum raised by your Warship Week.”
