Death of Mrs. Hoyle.
We are very sorry indeed to record the death of the wife of Mr. John Hoyle, head master of the Denaby Main Colliery School. The deceased was apparently in good health on Tuesday week.
She was seized with great internal pain early on Wednesday morning, and despite the skill and care of Dr. Twigg (of Mexborough), and Dr. Craik (of Conisborough), her life was despaired of on Saturday evening, and without losing consciousness until the last she passed away very peacefully on Sunday evening last at 6-30.
She will be sadly missed in the neighbourhood, for her bright and active presence has assisted greatly such useful institutions as the Montagu Cottage Hospital, the Denaby branch of the Girls’ Friendly Society, and many social objects in Conisborough. She was only 32 years of age, and showed no perceptible signs of failing health. She leaves two young children.
The funeral took place at Conisborough on Wednesday last. The service was read by the Rev. R. P. Roseveare, curate in charge of Denaby Main, who had administered the Church’s consolation during her short illness. A large number of friend and relatives were present in Conisborough Church, and also at the cemetery, and very many wreaths an other tokens of love and sympathy were brought and sent by sorrowing friends.
There are proofs on every hand of the respect and affection felt by all classes, and no less by the children than their parents, for the family of the Schoolmaster.
