Muffled Peal

The bells of Conisborough Parish Church were muffle last Sunday and peels were run in token of respect for the late Lt Winter Nicholson (Royal Engineers), recently killed in France, son of the late Mr GT Nicholson and Mrs Nicholson, Rockhouse, Sheffield Road, Conisborough.

Mrs Nicholson has been the Vicar’s warden for the past three years.

Lt Nicholson was formally a member of the Church choir, and he gave a handsome donation towards the installation of the peal of bells.

Much sympathy is felt for Mrs Nicholson and family by Conisborough residents in the irrepairable loss they have sustained.
