Negligent Pony Drivers.

At Doncaster to-day Frank Watson and Andrew Toole, pony drivers. Denaby, were summoned for two breaches of the special rules at Cadeby Main Colliery on the 4th ult.

The defendants ran 18 full corves instead of 11, and failed to place a back stay, with the result that the corves went along at a terrific rate, and ran off the rails. Three men were placed imminent danger.

The defendants were fined 20s. and costs in one case and ordered to pay the costs in the other

Daniel Jones, pony driver, Denaby, was fined 20s., including costs, for disobeying the order of the deputy.
