New Colliery in Business
The new colliery at this place begins now to look like business.
The headgear for the shaft that was started first had been erected, and the engine for the sinking work is about completed.
Effective pumps are being put down, and before long we shall doubtless see the sinking operations in full swing.
Preparations are also be made for throwing a bridge over the river for convenience of workmen and others.
It is, I suppose, just about the elbow the river, not far from Messrs Kilner Bros glass works.
