New Era in Road Transport
A few of the guests who assembled at the luncheon held in Rotherham on Tuesday by the Rotherham Corporation and the Mexborough and Swinton Tramway Company to celebrate the inauguration of a full railless traction service between Rotherham and Conisborough. This service was operated for the first time last Sunday.
The group in the photograph includes representatives of the Mexborough, Swinton, Rawmarsh, Conisborough and Greasborough Urban District Councils, the Rotherham Corporation, and directors and officials of the Mexborough and Swinton Tramway Company.
