A New Hotel for Denaby
An extensive hotel, constructed on most proved principles has just been completed at Denaby at a cost of several thousand pounds, and Mr Hickmott, solicitor, Rotherham, on Saturday, applied for a temporary endorsement of the licence from George Wilkie, secretary of the Denaby Main Colliery Company to William Atkinson.
Mr Hickmott said the company had intended to take charge of the hotel themselves, but they had now selected the person named, with much experience in the management of hotels.
Superintendent Blake and enquired as to the man’s character
The Chairman: He needs to be a good man for that place
Mr Hickmott said the company had taken a good deal of trouble in the matter, and had got the best man they could.
