New Invention – Automatic Barrel Tilter

Well done Conisbro’. Another feather in your cap.

One of the most sensible and practical inventions ever patented has just been introduced by Mr. Geo. Appleyard, the well-known cabinet maker, Church street, Conisbro’, and Mr. Isaac Shay, of Conisbro’.

As before stated, the appliance has been registered, and it is to be hoped the inventors will reap a reward equivalent to the extent of their ingenuity. The patent consists of an automatic barrel tilter, which is so designed-that without any lifting or disturbing of the contents of a barrel every drop can be drained out, which must be a decided advantage in certain branches of trade. To brewers especially the invention will be a great boon.

Although numerous attempts have been made to provide a mechanical tilter, the above named is the first to rank as automatic.

I look for a large sale of the article and trust it will ere long be in the hands of the public, who will soon be able to test its merits.
